Review: Storex Slimbox network media gateway

Storex is a French company that has now started distributing some of its products in the UK. The Slimbox is a tiny, low cost HD media player. I had a couple of issues with it, but in general it works pretty well given the vagaries of UPnP. My full reviews are now available on IT Reviews and Computeractive.

Review: Devolo dLAN 200 AV USB Extender

USB over IP seems like a pretty logical use for powerline networking, so it's a little surprising that it's taken so long for an adapter to appear. Devolo's handy Homeplug AV-certified gadget lets you share any kind of USB device over a network, even scanners and multifunction devices, and it works extremely well. Review: 3M MP180 pocket projector

I covered the announcement of this 30-lumen miniature projector a while back, but for some reason it took 3M months and months before it actually launched the device. Avid has introduced a new high-end consumer video editing product, Avid Studio, which goes a step beyond the capabilities of its current flagship offering, Pinnacle Studio 15 Ultimate HD.
