Review: Cyberlink PowerDVD 10 Ultra 3D

The latest version of Cyberlink's PowerDVD software adds support for 3D Blu-ray discs, as well as letting you play back 2D movies in simulated 3D. You can read my full review on the IT Reviews website.

Iriver WiFi Story ebook reader

Acer T231H multi-touch monitor

ZDNet has published my first impressions of the new AcerT231H touchscreen monitor in its First Take blog. Looks interesting, although touchscreen products don't seem to have taken the world by storm as some were predicting when Windows 7 launched. However, I'm sure there's a developing market - having got used to the iPod and Nintendo DS, my young grandkids seem to believe that every screen is a touchscreen...

Review: Lancom L-320agn wireless access point

Who remembers ELSA graphics cards? Lancom certainly does, as it was born in 2002 from the communications division of that German company. Now Lancom makes high-end networking kit for enterprises and institutions, and I've reviewed its new L-320agn 802.11n Wi-Fi access point for IT Reviews, V3.co.uk and ZDNet UK.

AlertMe revamps user interface, launches colour energy display

AlertMe Energy has today given its web-based user interface a major revamp, and launched a new in-home colour energy display costing £29.99 (available to pre-order from the AlertMe shop).


I reviewed the AlertMe Energy service last year for Computeractive, where you can see a screenshot of the old interface. The new layout is a clearer and displays a lot more information, and the graphs in particular are much improved.
